Grab your last chance to source online at Spring Virtual Expo

Hong Kong’s exhibition industry has been put on pause after the coronavirus epidemic has forced multiple postponements or cancellations – deemed the “worst since the 2003 SARS outbreak” by analysts according to The South China Morning Post. For many buyers and suppliers who rely on trade fairs to market their products and establish new business connections, travel bans have thrown a spanner in the works. Fortunately, HKTDC is bringing the trade fair experience online with the Spring Virtual Expo.

Online during the month of April, the Spring Virtual Expo will provide the opportunity for suppliers to advertise their products online and prospective buyers to reach out with a simple click – allowing suppliers to maintain and establish contact with global buyers and book orders during traditional peak sourcing seasons.

The Spring Virtual Expo is centred around four themes: technology, lighting and electronics; gifts and housewares; lifestyle, and; fashion and beauty – featuring 33 groups of products, global buyers will receive personalised product recommendations (through online means) to foster quicker deals.

Alongside the virtual expo, HKTDC has also readied a number of new online initiatives to help SMEs adapt to the difficult times, including webinars, online-to-offline promotional packages, a free Transformation Box (“T-Box”) advisory service and more! “This will enable SMEs to continue to expand in mature and emerging markets,” says HKTDC Executive Director Margaret Fong. “We hope that the online promotion together with the upcoming trade fairs can create synergy to help SMEs promote their products and field orders.”
