Amidst the coronavirus pandemic, businesses face unprecedented uncertainties – including travel restrictions, global supply chain disruptions and impact on their operations and revenues. To help businesses adapt to these new circumstances, Winchell Cheung (HKTDC Director, Midwest) and his Chicago-based team hosted a webinar on how businesses could better connect with their Asian partners and suppliers.
With most face-to-face events cancelled, Mr. Cheung noted there had been a major trend of businesses shifting their activities online – especially in e-commerce, customer service and engagement, B2B sourcing and business networking.
To assist businesses during these difficult times, HKTDC launched the Spring Virtual Expo. Running throughout April, the Expo is a digital event that features suppliers across four themes – Tech: Lighting & Electronics, Gifts & Housewares, Lifestyle, and Fashion & Beauty – providing an alternate avenue for global buyers to source products and meet potential suppliers.
In addition to the virtual expo, HKTDC also offers personalised services through their award-winning sourcing platform and Online Business Matching. Furthermore, businesses can take advantage of HKTDC’s Special Promotion Packages at discounted rates to build greater brand awareness.
The next virtual expo will coincide with HKTDC’s Summer Sourcing Week in this July, an international marketplace featuring concurrent trade shows at the Hong Kong Exhibition and Convention Centre.
